Degussa Introduces Acematt OP 278
Acematt OP 278 is an organic matting agent based on methyl-methacrylate and styrene (copolymer). OP 278 allows for multiple benefits in films including low residual gloss, pleasant surface roughness, attractive surface structure, and low coefficient of friction. Processing benefits include low torque, acceleration of gelling, and stretchability of films.
Acematt OP 278 is a polymeric matting agent available as a white powder of spherical particles with a 150 micron particle size. The particles are broken up under suitable processing condition.
